Garden Club Meeting:
Speaker: Bill Toone on “Drought and Water Conservation”
We are thrilled to announce that Bill Toone will be joining us to speak on “Drought-A Local Perspective on a Global Problem”. Bill has quite a varied background which began at UCDavis in Avian Sciences. He is best known today for his work in sustainable development and management practices in developing countries. He is at the helm of the ECOLIFE Foundation which concerns itself with the “disconnect between quality of life for people and the health of their natural resources”. Bill will not only share his experiences from around the globe helping groups solve water quality and shortage problems, but will bring it close to home with his own sustainable water harvesting practices at his own residence.
